With time constraints limiting the furniture options and available fabric selections, we selected a new paint scheme to coordinate with the new furniture – a vibrant mixture of purple and grays that compliment the South16 logo and printed promotional material.
As part of a strategy to provide maintenance-friendly furnishings, several tables were a blend of durable-friendly reclaimed wood with industrial fittings. The area rugs over stained concrete were changeable carpet tiles with a colorful, striated pattern.
The design was rounded out by a custom art package by a local artist, which included original paintings of several Roanoke landmarks. The result is a youthful and lively space to match the overall feel of The Bridges’ modern architecture, which is breathing new life into this vacated industrial site.
