Bowie Renovation
The clients for this master bedroom suite remodel in a Maryland suburb of Washington, DC were young professionals. The challenge was to combine the couple’s differing styles. She liked traditional and he liked modern, but they both agreed that the spaces should feel like a getaway or retreat from their everyday, hectic lives.
The focal point of the bedroom is a sleek fireplace with a full-wall surround of striated tile. The bathroom featured separate his and hers vanities, an existing soaking tub with new tile surround and a spa-like steam shower. The vanity walls were tiled with an iridescent accent tile to add just the right amount of bling to satisfy both of their glamourous sides. CIRCLE was asked to come back one year later to design their first child’s nursery.
